I was driving behind a new C7 Corvette Stingray on Friday afternoon and noticed that it sat really close to the ground (don’t they all?). But this Stingray was lower than most. Lucky for me, the driver was on his way to the mall and I followed him in….I worked up the courage to ask him if all C7’s are that low to the ground. He was very friendly and told me that he actually installed a set of “lowering bolts”. He explained that vendors in the aftermarket make these little bolts shown below and they will actually allow the owner to lower his Corvette up to 2.5″.

Of course I didn’t think to take pictures…I know, any blogger worth his weight would have done so. But I did find some bolts on the internet along with pictures. RPI has them and so does Southern Car Parts. I did find a few pictures on the RPI site and posted them below. So you guys tell me. Do you like the look? Or do you like the stock “normal height” better? I kind of like the look of the lowered Stingray.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention. The C7 Lowering Bolts package will set you back a nice dinner, or about $45.00. Not too bad if you ask any of us over here.
The National Corvette Museum is holding a special raffle for a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray. We all know that the National Corvette Museum had a rough time with the giant sink hole….we won’t go into that. If you are a Corvette fan, then you have to support the NCM. These tickets are selling for just $10. Can you imagine buying a brand new Corvette for just $10? You might just get lucky…
The NCM normally charges $100 per ticket, but this is a special raffle and you could win for 1/10th the cost of a normal NCM raffle. This $60,000 C7 Corvette is bright red, or known by Corvette fans as Torch Red. What better color to own a Corvette?

As many of you guys know, you might have a Z06 on order and are you not able to get your Aero package. We found a few vendors that might be able to help you out. The aftermarket has already come up with a C7 Z06 Style Front Splitter, and available in the painted Carbon Flash Metallic. According to www.rpidesigns.com they have these new splitters available and are “painted to order”.
C7 Z06 Corvette Front Splitter
According to the vendor, these splitters are available for both the base C7 and the C7 Z06. The splitter is a replica of the C7 Z06 street splitter that GM is including on their Z06’s from the factory. These look like great pieces to us. Here is more information from RPI Designs we also found a vendor Southern Car Parts that carries this same front splitter.
